Interflora florist Diana Kaye is a winner – again!

WINNING AWARD PHOTOWe’re delighted to announce that one of our florist members has been awarded the UK Retail Florist of the Year Award.

Diana Kaye was presented with the accolade at the Re:fresh Awards – the equivalent of the Oscars for the fresh produce and cut flower industry – in London’s Park Lane.

In 2008 she won the National Champion Flower Shop of the Year, the Interflora Flower Shop of the Year and the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In November 2009 Diana presented the Queen with a Union Jack in flowers during her visit to Newcastle. It appeared at the Cenotaph in London a few days later.

Quentin Wilson and Diana KayeThe Re:fresh awards were hosted by former Top Gear presenter Quentin Wilson and was sponsored by New Covent Garden Market, the nation’s premier flower wholesaler.

With competition from more than 10,000 flowers shops across the country, Diana Kaye came out on top. This is the first time the award has gone to anyone in the north of England.

The Re:fresh judges said: “A record number of entries were submitted and the standard was extremely high. Diana Kaye’s energy and enthusiasm shines through in this exceptional all round florist business.”

Diana Kaye Florist has been in business for more than 25 years in the beautiful cobbled market town of Yarm in the Tees Valley. She also has a second shop in the prestigious Fenwick department store in Newcastle.

Her key to success is giving excellent customer service while providing innovative designs at an affordable price.
