Fave summer flower has to be Freesias, they smell divine
My favourite summer flowers are freesias. My nan always used to buy me freesias as a little present to brighten up my bedroom. Sadly she’s no longer with us, but every time I see and smell them they remind me of her.
my favourite flower is lily they not only look super they smell fab
My favourite flowers are orchids – expensive but lovely for the soul !!!
My favourite flower is peony I love the old fashioned deep red
Hi, my favourite summer flower is Delphinium. All colours. Still, every time I see them I think to myself how beautiful they are. They remind me of rambling cottage gardens.
I simply love roses! They are so varied, delightful with such a sweet fragrance, I am bowled over by them. They suit all occasions and all people. Roses come in such different ways, climbing, bush ones, old fashioned ones with fragrance or new ones with bright colours and no scent. I was give three rose bushes for a wedding present in 1985 and they still flower for months every year, so thes are my favourites.
My favourite flower is Bird of Paradise , as it has a strong architectural shape which brings an instant feel of the tropical and exotic. It screams summer and makes a great statement in a floral arrangement!
The Rose, in particular the Albertine a delicate pink, heavily scented rambling rose. It used to grow all over my grandmothers beautiful cottage in Cornwall and was like a tiara on top of all the lovely bunny rabbits, pinks and geraniums and other cottage garden flowers.
I have already said orchids are my favorite flowers, because they are good for the soul. Let me explain – I lost my daughter over 30 years ago, these flowers remind me of her. They are so ethereal and their scent so fragrant I Can’t help to be comforted, because I always think no person could create such beauty, therefore there MUST be life beyond !!!!!
I love sweet peas the best, their papery softness, delicate colours and pungent fragrance pack a punch like no other summer flower for me. I love them when they’re prolific enough to pick and put in small vases round the house. The scent of sweet peas as you walk in the door is intoxicating, summer begins as the sweet peas blossom.
I love tulips, not an expensive flower but I love the variety of colours and thinks they always look so pretty in a vase around the house. I also had them at my wedding so brings back lovely memories.
I absolutely love hydrangeas – their changing colours and their beautiful petals create such a huge impression on me. Not only are they great to use in cut flower arrangements, but also in the garden – diversity in colour and use! Absolutely wonderful!
I could say Roses or Hydrangeas as I adore them and their diversity, but I would single out the Gardenia for being so understated yet divine in its pure white simplicity and intoxicating in scent. The small shrub I grow in my garden rewards me each summer with its beautiful blooms.
Its the beautiful ‘Dahlia’ flower, loved by Tom Jones bursting with amazing colourful bloom, with ornamental form and most importantly bursting in passion mwah mwah darling xxx ;D
Sweet peas are my favourite flower because they smell gorgeous and look so pretty and I called my cat sweetypea so double the pleasure. You just look at sweetypea and think of summery sunny days
I love stargazer lily’s. Not only are they part of the lily family (favourites of minw) their atunning pink petals and the contrast of the yellow stamen always makes me smile. They are the posers of the flower world.
The Sunflower – It always makes me smile.
My mum’s & my favourite flowers are Freesias. I gave my mum an IOU flowers once a month for a year as part of her Christmas present & as she can only go out if she has a lift she spends a lot of time in the house, so I get Freesias every month that I can, as they smell beautiful & are so delicate in colour.
My favourite flowers have to be Anenomes they have so many different colours and can brighten up the dullest of places
my fav is the calla lily as they so stunningly elegant. I will certainly have these at my wedding next year.
My favourite has to be tulips. I love the colours and the fact that they’ll carry on growing and moving once they’ve been arranged. You can’t tame them or tell them what to do …. for too long anyway!
My favourite flower has got to be Gerbera because even just one flower on it’s own can make a statement and they come in such vibrant colours.
Well being called Rosalind , roses score high, though all flowers are special to me- Today the sight and scent of elder flowers on the edge of the Wye was the essence of pure UK summer, and the honeysuckle and foxgloves clinging close to Aberystwyth cliff, pure heaven
my fav are yellow roses x
my favourite has to be freesia, not only do they look nice but the smell is amazing
For me it is a toss up between sweet peas or english roses. I love highly scented english garden flowers when you have them in the house the smell makes it feel as though you have brought the garden in with you.
Freesias is my favourite summer flower, because it’s freespirited and carefree much like how I feel in the summer time. It looks stunning and smells amazing!
My favourite summer flower is Gladioli, just because of the beautiful structure and the range of colours.
My favourite flower is Gardenia!
I love all the summer type flowers but my favourite is the red ginger flower. It reminds me of being on holiday and seeing a tropical flower. it brights up any bunche on flowers adding abit of a twist . Another great thing is it smells gorgeous!!
Frangipani – The ultimate summer colours and if you can smell Frangipani you know your somewhere warm probably with a cocktail, on a beach. Ah, bliss!
My favourite summer flower is a Pink Carnation. Its been both my mum and my nan’s favourite flower, quite funny considering its connotations of a mothers love. Plus they always brighten up the place, no matter what the british weather is like outside
My favourite has got to be Sweetpea’s. To me they are a happy flower and remind me of my nanny. If I could smell just one thing forever it would be Sweetpea’s as they make me feel calm and invigorated at the same time…as you can tell I adore them and their funky shape!!
Definitely sweet peas – it’s just a shame they are quite hard to work with, floristry wise!
the poppy, strong in colour and stands so tall to be noticed, its like magic
Sweetpea flowers as they look so beautiful and smell wonderful I recently had a tattoo of 6 sweetpea flowers in pink and purple for my 2 children and my 4 grandchildren as all of their lives so far I have called them all sweetpea then I found out that they are my birth month flower so they mean even more
My favourite flower is a lilly because that’s the flower that makes my partner smile the most!
I love lily of the valley flowers, their bell shaped delicate flowers are like little fairy hats and they smell amazingly beautiful, plus i am an old lady and I love lavender, but not too good as a cut flower, but wonderful perfume, , reminds me of my nan and my childhood, and lovely happy warm summer days in her garden
Definitely sweet peas
Lily’s are the ones for me. Bright orange to cheer me up, yellow touch the warmth of the sun, white for clouds and pink for girlish blushes. Bold but with a necklace in the middle to remind me of the feminine wiles and the smell is simply divine. x
My favorite summer flowers are the lovely “Grandma’s Bonnets” so many different colours, in a group divine, individually amazing.
I think for me it has to be the gerbera I love the colours so vibrant!
My mum informed me when I was growing up that my late Gran
acctually brought Gerberas to the hospital for me the day I was born.
They make me think of her!
My favourite flower has to be Gerbera’s… available all year round in bright colours so no matter what the day, weather or occasiosn, Gerbera’s go well with various other flowers to make a beautiful bouquet and brighten up anyone’s day…
It has to be hot pink Gerberas! They encapsulate everything about a perfect summer: hot, bright, and full of vibrant colour!
It has to be an intensely fragrant sweetpea – its fragility embodies the transience of modern summers and yet still evokes childhood memories with its fragrance.
I love all blue/purple flowers but especially dark indigo Lysianthus.
My Fav Flowers are Red Roses
My favourite flower is the beautiful, sweetest smelling Lily of the valley. I love it so much we named our precious daughter after it.
