Take part in our latest competition to win an iPad Air 2!

by JamieT on January 16, 2015

How good do you think you are when it comes to penning the inner workings of your heart? And do you think you could do it in less than 150 words? That’s the challenge we’re putting to you ahead of Valentine’s Day as we search to find the most romantic poem.

Our ‘Verses for My Valentine’ campaign aims to encourage people to put their thoughts into poetry when writing something special to their loved ones.  Rather than writing a clumsy Valentine’s Day message or borrowing cheesy lines from your favourite RomCom, we are challenging people to craft a beautifully thought-through verse that really expresses their emotions.  These verses can be created in any genre, from a traditional romantic verse to a witty rhyme.

All entries received will be judged by a panel of leading experts including the Poetry Society and a well-known TV psychologist. Our favourites will then be included in Interflora’s Little E-Book of Verse published on our website www.interflora.co.uk, alongside entries from some professional poets. One lucky participant will also receive a brand new iPad Air 2!

If you’d like to take up our challenge (and we hope you do!), all you need to do is construct your most creative verse in less than 150 words and submit it to laura.sephton@interflora.co.uk before midnight Tuesday 27th January 2015. Please also send us a dedication (if you wish), a photograph of yourself and your twitter handle for inclusion in our E-Book.

We would love you to join us in our quest to find the best verse writer!
