If you’re single, Valentine’s Day could be the perfect opportunity to go out with your closest friends and enjoy their company. But being single doesn’t mean you can’t join in the Valentine’s festivities.
Why not exchange one beautiful red rose with your BFF as a lasting symbol of friendship. It’s a beautiful gesture, especially if neither of you will be giving or receiving gifts otherwise.
The term BFF means Best Friends Forever and has been around for longer than most people think. No one knows the true origins of the term, but it was first made popular in the sitcom Friends.
There’s been a surge in the term’s popularity through popular culture such as Paris Hilton’s TV show, where she searched for a new BFF.
A lot of men and women call Valentine’s ‘Singles Awareness Day’ because they feel it’s just a reminder of their single status. This might be the case but it could be used as an opportunity to connect with friends and have a good time.
This time of the year should be about showing the people you care about just what they mean to you.

This is such a lovely idea and though my BFF sadly passed away in January 2012 she was a big lover of red roses. We have 30+ years of friendship shared but she will always be my forever friend in spirit too. RIP Sandie Cunliffe xxxx
