The daughter of HRH Princess Anne gave birth to a baby girl on an NHS ward at Gloucester Royal Hospital on Friday.
It is understood she was discharged six hours later, returning to the Gatcombe estate near Minchinhampton, where she lives with rugby player husband Mike Tindall.
Neither of the new parents ventured out over the weekend, although they took an abundance of beautiful deliveries from several florists.
The name of the baby girl – weighing in at 7lbs 12oz – has not yet been revealed but Charlotte, Elizabeth and Victoria are amongst the bookmakers’ favourites.
HRH Princess Anne, who also resides on the estate, was spotted taking a break from her new grandmother duties on Saturday.
She drove to a small house on the edge of the land where she collected some dogs to take for a walk.
