Interflora presents £652,000 cheque to Breast Cancer Care

by Charlotte.Barnes on March 28, 2012

Lisa Snowdon - Breast Cancer CareModel and presenter, Lisa Snowdon, today met with Ann Bampton, our Marketing Projects Manager, to celebrate the success of Interflora’s charity partnership with Breast Cancer Care.

As an Ambassador for the charity, Lisa was on hand to thank Interflora and all our staff and florists for their support. Interflora has been a long term supporter of Breast Cancer Care raising over £652,000 since 2005. The money is used to ensure Breast Cancer Care’s information and support services remain free to anyone who needs them.

Speaking at the charity’s head office, Lisa said, “My grandmother and aunt have both experienced breast cancer so my family know all too well how vital Breast Cancer Care’s services are. It’s terrifying to be told a member of your family has breast cancer and you have so many unanswered questions and concerns. Thankfully Breast Cancer Care is there for people like me as well as the person who has been diagnosed with this dreadful disease.”

Breast Cancer Care can’t continue its wonderful work without the help, support and dedication of companies like Interflora. So on behalf of everyone at Breast Cancer Care I want to pass my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Interflora for all their efforts to help people affected by breast cancer. Thank you.”

Each year Interflora support Breast Cancer Care through a jointly run online flower website and a product promotion within their sympathy flowers brochure to raise funds which make a real difference to the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
