Interflora florist to take on the world

by Charlotte.Barnes on July 21, 2011

Florist Victoria Richards (pictured on the left) will be representing the UK at WorldSkills London 2011. She works for Herbarium Florist in the West Midlands and, after a tough four-day selection competition, she was chosen as our representative.

WorldSkills will take place at ExCeL from October 5th-8th. Victoria – who is just 22 – will be competing against florists from all over the world and is now in training to prepare for the event and the pressure that comes with it.

Victoria said: “It is a huge honour to have been selected to represent the UK at WorldSkills London 2011. I hope this opportunity will allow me to showcase how vocational training can lead to successful employment and career opportunities.

“I know the next few months will be tough as I will be in training for the event, but I really hope the whole of the country gets behind Team UK for WorldSkills London 2011 like they do our sporting teams.”

Congratulations to Victoria and good luck at the competition!
