Interflora at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show: Building the exhibit

by Charlotte.Barnes on May 14, 2012

Chelsea logoThis year, Interflora is creating yet another incredible floral display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and this time we’ve been asking for your help to do it. Our exhibit has been designed and created by award-winning Interflora florists David Ragg and David Denyer and is entitled ‘The Message’.

This contemporary design includes influences from modern day architecture, most notably of which is the Shard building in London.  Tall ‘shards’ of colour form the basis of our exhibit, with each one surrounded by amazing floral arrangements and fabulous creations of texture and colour.

At Interflora, we are all about heartfelt messages and our design at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show reflects this perfectly. In the centre of our exhibit is a gorgeous silver birch tree which will be decorated with some of the lovely messages submitted by the general public through ‘The Message’ app that Interflora launched last week.

Working on this fantastic exhibit are David Denyer and David Ragg; two amazing and talented florists who have been working together for more than 20 years. They also run the Interflora Flower School, and over the last two years have both won a Chelsea Gold medal for their Interflora exhibit.

David and David are two of the UK’s 1,800 expert Interflora florists and this year’s exhibit ‘The Message’ really highlights the wonderful skills and creativity of all Interflora florists to create the most amazing arrangements, no matter what the occasion.

Keep any eye on the Interflora blog over the next week in the run up to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for more great articles about our 2012 exhibit, our dedicated florists and the show itself!

The show runs from Monday 21st May for 6 days and the Interflora exhibit will be located in The Great Pavilion.
