Four year old Elliott from Witney in Oxfordshire was parted from his little blue bear Frankie during a shopping trip six weeks ago.
The bear had been sent as a congratulations gift to Elliott’s parents, along with a bouquet of Interflora flowers, to celebrate his birth in 2008.
Elliott’s mother Catherine contacted us last week to ask for help to reunite her son with his best friend. She said: “Frankie has been everywhere with Elliot and is very dear to him. Unfortunately he’s been lost for over a month now and despite all our best efforts we can’t find or replace him and Elliott is really upset.”
As a result of her email we took to twitter to ask for your help to #FindFrankie.
We were overwhelmed by the number of people who helped spread the message and a replacement bear was eventually found hiding away at Interflora Head Office. It was promptly sent to Elliott so the two could be reunited just in time for Christmas.
Catherine said: “As you can tell by the photos you have made a little boy and a small blue bear very, very happy. It’s brought so much Christmas cheer to our house we want to thank you so much.”
