The churches of Gautby, Minting and Waddingworth villages in Lincolnshire have joined together for a flower festival on Sunday, August 7.
Gautby All Saints’ Church was built around 1756 in a style that enabled it to hold its own against the grand London Churches of the day.
Minting’s Church of St Andrew was rebuilt in 1863 with fragments of an earlier church incorporated into the fabric and its Thankful Village status is celebrated in the church.
St Margaret’s church in Waddingworth is privately owned and it’s rarely open to the public.
Wragby Handbell Ringers will be playing at Minting and Gautby churches and light lunches and afternoon tea will be served at Gautby Village Hall from 10am to 4.30pm.
Gautby’s theme is the a “Yearly Cycle”
Minting’s theme is a “Life Cycle” – births, marriages and deaths
Waddingworth’s flower theme is a “Daily Cycle”
The three churches will be open from 10am to 5pm.
