A dress made of real flowers

by Stefania Del Zotto on August 1, 2011

interflora-real-flower-dressOur florist Janet Hodgson of The Flower Gallery was asked by The Rock shopping mall in Bury to design a dress made completely of real flowers. The finished frock was displayed at the centre’s first birthday celebrations and was even worn by a model.

The dress was inspired by The Rock’s logo, which is a woman in a flowery dress surrounded by gorgeous, bright blooms. The brief proved to be a bit tricky for Janet. She says: “The challenge was making it last as the original brief wanted us to use plants.” Read more >>

Interflora vs. Marks & Spencer court action: UPDATE

by Mark Leech on March 24, 2011

On Thursday, 24 March, the Advocate General handed down his Opinion on the question put to the Court of Justice of the European Union as to whether Marks & Spencer (“M&S”) should be allowed to use the “Interflora” trade mark as an internet search engine keyword to advertise M&S flowers.
