Another Gold for Interflora at RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Interflora team at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014We are delighted to announce that our floral design exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been awarded a Gold medal. It is the fifth prestigious medal to be won by Interflora in as many years.

The floral design exhibit named ‘Succession’ was created by a team of five young florists aged from 21 to 27 years and has been awarded a Gold medal in recognition of the floral creativity and artistry displayed in its concept and construction.

Most Women ‘Have Already Planned Wedding’

Couple-with-flowersMany women choose their wedding dress and the flowers they’ll carry on the big day before they have even met their husbands, new research suggests.

Our poll found that six in 10 single women have already planned parts of their wedding, such as churches, reception venues and bridesmaids’ dresses.

Two thirds said they had been planning some aspects of their weddings since they were children – with some starting to think about getting married from the age of just 13.

Real life Christmas display for Interflora flower shop

An Interflora flower shop in the Scottish Highlands has received an unlikely lodger for the winter.

The Flower Box in Grantown-on-Spey is now home to a friendly Robin, known as Batman, much to the delight of owner Maria Norman.

He used to pop into the shop for daily visits but has since decided to take up residence for the months ahead, nesting atop a Christmas tree.

Interflora’s London Fashion Week Event

We were thrilled to see that many designers at London Fashion week this year were inspired by flowers. Designers such as Christopher Kane as well as luxury brand Mulberry incorporated a lot of floral designs into their spring/summer 2014 collections.

The Apartment at London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is a prestigious fashion event which influences people all over the world. During the course of the week all manner of outfits are showcased not only on the catwalk but around the streets of London.

As you can imagine we were thrilled to be invited along to a related event called The Apartment which was held near the Piazza in Covent Garden. This is the second season we have been privileged enough to be involved in the glamorous event.

Interflora’s ‘Time Frames’ Exhibit Takes Double Gold

Interflora has been awarded a second Gold Medal for its landmark design exhibit Time Frames, which is currently on display at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show. The exhibit has also been named Best Exhibit in the Floral Design Studio.

Hot on the heels of its success at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the exhibit features six individual ‘frames’ decorated with thousands of flowers, and has been recreated for the last time at RHS Tatton Park as part of the celebrations surrounding Interflora’s 90th anniversary.

Interflora’s Time Frames Takes Gold At Chelsea

Interflora’s landmark design exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been awarded a Gold medal, in recognition of the floral creativity and artistry displayed in its concept and construction.

‘Time Frames’ was created by a team of five of the UK’s most renowned florists, headed up by former RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winner David Ragg. In celebration of the show’s centenary year and Interflora’s 90th anniversary, the exhibit showcases floristry expertise over the past nine decades – to great effect.

Interflora Florist to Represent UK in WorldSkills Competition

A young and talented Interflora florist has been chosen to represent the UK in the finals of the prestigious Worldskills competition.

Chloe, who has worked at Bluebell Flowers in Newport Pagnell for six years, was selected as the country’s representative after winning a series of regional heats and beating some exceptional competition.
