Breast Cancer Care shop window competition 2009

Breast Cancer Care
Every 11 minutes someone is diagnosed with breast cancer and no one should have to face that alone.

That’s why Interflora continues to support and raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Care…

In October of last year – national Breast Cancer Awareness month – Interflora florists around the UK took part in a competition to raise money for Breast Cancer Care which works with those affected with breast cancer and their families to provide emotional support and information, as well as campaigning to improve standards of care.

The Interflora ‘In The Pink’ competition invited florists to decorate their shop windows in an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer issues and encourage donations.

Six stolen kisses
We saw bright, glamorous and very pink shops all around the country and – thanks to our dedicated team of florists – we raised a fantastic £73,000.

Indeed Interflora has been working with Breast Cancer Care for the past four years and over that period a staggering £614,000 has been raised.

Murray Lindo, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Breast Cancer Care, says: “We are delighted with the support of Interflora over the past four years. As ever, your company, staff and customers have been tremendously generous and have raised £614,000 since the partnership began.

“This fantastic amount will help Breast Cancer Care to continue to ensure that no one need face a breast cancer diagnosis alone.”

And the winners of the 2009 Interflora ‘In The Pink’ shop window competition are:
