Behind the scenes at the Interflora World Cup

Neil's booth in progress

Yesterday our reporter, Dave Clancy, took some time out of the competition at the 2010 Interflora World Cup in Shanghai to visit the city’s thriving flower market.

Dave also got to see Great Britain representative Neil Whittaker’s booth and work in progress….

He’s currently working on his free expression piece, which will make up the first round of the competition today.

Take a look at the video below as Neil shows us what he is working on.

Come back tomorrow to see how the finished design looks.

ExteriorDave also interviewed Karen Barnes, head of floral gifting at Interflora, on how it felt to be chosen to judge at the World Cup. We’ll have more on that soon.

Today the the competition really starts, with each florist finishing round one – the designer’s free expression interpretation – as well as designing the host’s surprise item for round two.
